Stevens Creek Corridor Restoration Phase 2

Restoration of activities along ¼ mile of existing creek and widening of approximately 700 feet of creek with creation of new backwater area; installation of sanitary main, installation of prefabricated bridge; new trail amenities; modification of a street intersection; parking lot renovation and landscaping.  Work includes demolition; clearing; earthwork; grading, creek dewatering and flow diversion; installing sanitary main storm drain modifications; construction of bridge abutments; paving; planting and irrigation. Special requirements included coordination with several environmental conservancy experts for the relocation and recovery of the native fish and native vegetation of the creek. In addition, 15,500 square feet of pervious concrete was installed along the trail’s paths.

This project has recieved three prestigious awards, APWA (American Public Works Association) 2015 National Level Environmental Project of the Year, 2014 APWA Silicon Valley Chapter Project of the Year, and CASQA (California Stormwater Quality Association) 2015 Outstanding Sustainable Stormwater BMP Project.
