James Moore
James joined Robert A. Bothman Construction in 1988. His contributions are based on his extensive knowledge and understanding of budgeting, cost estimating, value engineering, constructability analysis, design coordination, project scheduling and project management. He currently manages all preconstruction services, from cost estimating through project design and planning. Under James’ leadership, our estimating department has the expertise to handle all aspects of public and private bidding, from preliminary budgeting and cost estimating to constructability reviews, value engineering, and master project scheduling.
James has been instrumental in our emergence as an industry leader in sports construction on the West Coast. In addition to his role as project executive for some of our key clients, James has served as the lead estimator, design manager, preconstruction services manager, and/or project manager for almost all of our most prominent athletic facility and site work construction projects. Among these are the running track for the Home Depot National Training Center, the district-wide, design-build of athletic facilities for the San Mateo Community College and the Roseville Sports Complex.
James has served as board member of Village House, a homeless shelter consortium, the Friends of Guadalupe River and the American Society of Professional Estimators, Chapter 55. He is also a past president of the leadership council and school board at St. Timothy’s Lutheran Church and School in San Jose. James holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from California State University, Chico.
