Greek Theatre Expansion

As a general contractor privileged to work on UC Berkeley’s Greek Theatre, an iconic venue set against the backdrop of stunning foothills, we marveled at the architectural grandeur and functional beauty of one of America’s oldest outdoor theatres that was built in 1903. We were entrusted with enhancing the audience experience while preserving the theatre’s historical charm. Our updates included concrete curb seating for 8,500 spectators, staircases for easy lawn access, and other developments that amplified the theatre’s capacity for hosting diverse performances. Prioritizing patron safety, we improved emergency access routes, updated lighting for greater security and introduced temporary platforms.
